Novostal-M – Metallurgical Holding

Novostal-M is a metallurgical holding company which core assets are Abinsk Electric Steel Works and Steel Factory Balakovo.

Abinsk Electric Steel Works was launched in 2010. It is now one of the most advanced and fast-growing Russian mills which products are in demand all over the world.

Steel Factory Balakovo is a leading manufacturer of long products in the Privolzhsky Federal district. The first ton of rolled products was manufactured in December 2013. The first million ton of scrap was processed in 2015.

In total, the holding`s factories employ more than 5,500 workers. Novostal-M includes the entire chain of production of high-tech products and rapidly develops on both domestic and foreign markets.

The Abinsk Electric Metallurgical Plant is located in the south of Russia, in the city of Abinsk. The AEMP is rightfully considered one of the most modern and rapidly developing plants in the industry.
Thanks to its own transport infrastructure and close proximity to the sea, the plant’s products are delivered in the shortest possible time to any part of the world.

MZ Balakovo is the first rolled products manufacturer in the Volga Federal District and a leading enterprise in Russia's electric metallurgy industry.

A high‑speed mill of the new generation and in‑house transportation capacities enable MZ Balakovo to produce and deliver high‑quality products within short timeframes.

Currently, the construction of a modern metallurgical cluster is underway in the city of Balakovo. In 2026, a rail and structural steel mill will be commissioned — rightfully considered the largest in Russia. This investment project will create over 3 000 jobs in the region.
